Getting up this morning had been a lot harder then Kindred had thought. She sighed as she looked over, only to see that he was already up. She smirked to herself at the thought, she knew very well he had gotten up extra early to beat her to taking care of the horses. It seemed like he didn't want her doing much of anything that took any strain. The him she was referring to was Steven. They had been friends now for almost three years, and this past year had even grown closer. Perhaps Kindred always knew there was something their, but refused to allow it to happen because she was still holding out hope for Taylor. That Taylor might change, that their stubbornness would stop hindering them.. and then he left. He just up and left, didn't say a word to her. The memory of that day still brought tears to her eyes. The dark haired woman just felt so hurt, so betrayed, and worst of all... as if she didn't mean a damn thing to that man. That their friendship meant nothing that all those times they had shared together, were unimportant. Kindred sighed as she shoved the thought from her mind, and stared at the ceiling. She had stopped waiting for him to come back some time ago. With him gone, Kindred had grown closer to Steven, and well they were now more than friends. Had been for more than three months now. Sure some people weren't happy about it, and well Kindred didn't give a damn. Kindred sighed as she got out of bed, grabbing her robe, and wrapping it around her. Kindred sighed as she walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. She poured herself a cup of coffee, before sitting down at the table, and flipping through the newspaper. She smirked as she read and article and took a sip of her coffee. As she glanced out of the window she saw a couple of the students out and about. Most heading to the stalls to get their horses groomed for the morning. Her eyes however caught sight of Steven and smirked as she watched him carry a bale of hay to the show pasture. Her smirk only grew as she watched an excited Byron and Marilyn run to greet him at the fence. They were by far the friendliest of her four stallions, and the only two that got along. She sighed as she finished up her coffee and headed back upstairs. She threw on a pair of jeans, and a baggy tee shirt, something that was rather uncommon for her to wear. She grabbed a pair of socks, and sat down on the bed. She slowly pulled them on, before getting to her feet, and making the bed. Kindred looked around once more, before heading down the stairs, and to the back door. She grabbed her thick coat, and put it on, before sliding her old dirty snow boots on. She then heard a whine from behind her, and turned around to see Joe staring at her. She smiled as the red cattle dog panted happily. "Wanna go out Joe?" Kindred asked, before grabbing his leash and putting it on the young dog. Joe had the nasty habit of attempting to chase the horses, so until she broke him of that habit he was leashed bound. She smiled as she walked out the door, his heeler in toe. She walked past the first barn and headed to wards the show barn. Kindred didn't see Steven as she walked through the barn, which kind of disappointed her, but she'd find him later. After all she was in the mood for a morning ride, and had to be sneaky about it. After all Steven didn't like her riding much... well not now anyway. Kindred smiled as she put Joe in a empty stall, and shut it, letting him sniff around, while she went for a ride. She walked up and down the stalls, before deciding she would take Moore out. She walked to his stall, and grabbed the lead rope, and clipped it on his halter. She slowly led the gigantic beast over to the cross ties. She hooked him to them and began to groom him. Once finished with that, she grabbed a hoof pic, and began to clean out his hooves. It was somewhat straining on her back, and well, she did it quickly as possible. She felt herself feel a little sick after the fourth hoof. She leaned against Moore for a moment, before feeling better.

FORGOODREASON;;
It was the first day he'd actually been there. The night before he had came for the sole purpose of being there, without much interruption. It was the time of year that Cross Creek wasn't that packed with Children anyways, so he had safely hung around rather late. That was, until he had been slightly interrupted. It wasn't a problem, he knew Charlotte wouldn't say much about his surprise arrival. And that was why he'd show up today. Because, as much as he knew he most likely wasn't wanted around here much anymore, he might as well make the best of it. There wasn't much going on in the Ranch yard, he noted, as he quietly pulled the pickup into a neat park next to the barn. Only sitting there for a moment after killing the almost silent engine, did he finally let his hand fall around the door handle. Upon getting out of the cab, he noted the weather was fair today. It was a nice change, though the ‘gloomier’ days weren't all that bad. Now when he'd been in town the day before, he'd heard little of what Kindred was up too. He'd heard she'd settled down more with her life, which was good for her, though it caused the slightest bit of jealousy. Jealousy, because of how unsteady things always seemed to be for him. Part of that was his own fault, but there wasn't much he could do to fix it. A short moment later though, and he turned toward the barn, where some commotion was happening.
It wasn't long that it took his long strides to carry him toward it, though silently he made his way toward where he spotted her, moving her Equine to a set of cross-ties. There was little known about the emotion that settled across his features, it resembled a very unreadable one. It was typical for him, hide what you could so you didn't end up in the hole. She most likely wouldn't sense he was there until he came much closer, in which he did.
“For some crazy reason, everyone led me to believe you weren't around here much anymore.”
Those deep vocals seemed to form these words carelessly, looking away from her to the other end of the barn. His eyes caught sight of nothing more than pastures and a few horses grazing, and just plain being horses. Within a moment though, he let his gaze travel to her once again, seeming to search her over for some sort of answer.
“Now why is that?”
His posture changed, as he shifted his weight to his left foot. Due to the fair weather, he wasn't wearing what was so familiar for him, that duster coat. Not to say the weather would be mild all day, but it was a nice different. True, he was back, but for how long? Even this question that crossed so many minds upon seeing him, crossed his own thoughts. He'd decided upon arrival the night before, that if he ever had left again, it would most likely be for good.
[OOC;; Done! A little crummy.. But, it's an okay post I guess.]

Kindred finished the horses grooming, only to be greeted by Joe's whines and scratching. She sighed as she set the brush down, and walked back to the stall where she had locked him up. She yet the younger heeler out and he happily bounced at her feet. He was a nice dog, but she missed her blue heeler so badly. She found him lifeless a couple months before Taylor had left. She felt her family was gradually falling apart, and then it did. Kindred had lost the last member of her family two months ago. Satanic had to be put down after shattering his leg. That had been the hardest day of the year, minus Tay's sudden disapearence. Kindred sighed as she forced herself not to think on the painful memory any longer. If there was one good thing from this disaster of a year was she had forced herself to move on. To create a new life and a new family. She was doing well with that well almost perfect in fact. Kindred found herself far happier in her new life than the past she tried so hard not to let go of. The day Taylor had left she felt as if all purpose in getting up in the morning was gone. He was her best friend, the last piece of her past that held her fragile life together. The one person she thought she could put her faith in, the one person that would always be there when she fell, the one person she thought she loved. But she was naive to think any of those things, to think they would ever be more than friends. He was a coward, he was unreliable, and those were things Kindred couldnt have in her life. Taylor was a constant disapointment, and well... to be honest... she was happy he was gone.
For everything finally gained so stability with his leaving. Not to mention if he had never left she would have never given Steven a chance. This was based on the sole fact that part of the native american woman was holding out hope that maybe Taylor and her would develop into something more. But she was forced to face reality, and his depature only strengthen the fact that they could, and would never be anything more than friends. And now she was currently happy in a relationship with her other best friend. The one unlike Taylor, didnt move with the wind. Didnt decided one day to throw his life away to go off and be free. Kindred stopped thinking about the past as she headed to the tack room, and grabbed Dele'Moore's saddle. It was a lot heavier then she remebered but none the less she hauled it out to the cross ties. She tossed a saddle blanket upon his back, and in one stressed heave managed to toss the saddle on his back, but just as she did, she heard a voice that caused her to jump. Not just any voice, but Taylors. Kindred took a deep breath before looking over in the direction of the voice, her dark eyes taking in every feature of his face. And for a moment she seemed as if she was lost in it.
"Well its true Im not."
Kindred replied in a less than pleasent tone. The first thing about Kindred was every other time Taylor had returned, she had been happy, overjoyed, hell she could be described as bubbly even. But this occasion was different, he had really torn her apart this time. He didnt call, he didnt write, he didnt even have the courage to say good bye. Kindred cared so deeply for him, but as time she felt like their relationship was gradually becoming more and more one sided, and she couldnt take it. How dare he even have the nerve to stand on these grounds after he fled? How dare he look her in the eyes and question her about what she had been doing, Was none of his damn buisness if she was around much or not. What was the point of sticking around this place if he wasnt here? Pointless.... Kindred tore her eyes off his face as she tightened the cinch on Moore. The horse stomped his foot as she did so, never letting his hollow eyes off Taylor.
"Like its any of your damn business. "
Kindred spoke, her tone hardly changing in its harshness. Kindred headed back into the tack room, only to emerge moments later with a bridle in hand. She carfully put it on Moore, a cautiousness Kindred had never had around horses. But then again she had a new reason to fear being hurt. Once she finally had it fastened she let her dark eyes meet his once more.
"Why the hell are you back here? You've pretty much destroyed any life you had here... Char dont want you around, your dad dont want you around, and I sure as hell would be happy never to see your damn face again. You have any idea how worried I was about you? How hurt I was to find that you just up and left, to cowardly to tell me? God Tay I thought are friendship meant something... you sure fooled me."
Kindred replied her tone getting more sad then mad by the end. As she looked over she saw the faces of the show horses looking at her. This was a common occurence when she raised her voice.

DISTRUSTFUL;;
Her first words of aggravation only confirmed his thought that, this was going to be harder than he previously had figured. It was true, he hadn't been good at goodbye's, he'd always just tended to run off. He knew there'd always be something in him that was running, and from so many things. Of coarse she was right by what she next said, he had left, so why was it his place to ask? It wasn't. And he knew it. But he was back, so why couldn't anyone be happy about it? It was understandable for someone to be upset about him being back, but why couldn't someone be happy about it for once? He stepped back when she shouldered past him the first time, leaving him there to think about such things. She of coarse came back, only to suddenly accuse. She'd surprised him by what exactly she said, but also hurt him, it was that kind of hurt that brought anger, a disgusting type of anger.
“I could care less if you didn't want me here, but accusing them of it? You always did like making the decisions for everybody, didn't you?”
Those deep vocals came steady, though they held some darkness about them. It was the tiniest bit obvious what she said seemed to get to him though, due to how he had seemed to look away after speaking such things. Though, he did eventually look over to meet her eyes.
“You think none of this means anything to me? I'm here, aren't I? Kindred, I've done a lot for you I never should have, and don't you tell me you forgot.”
His deep vocals rolled from his throat easily, though speaking rather lowly. He had never liked anything that resembled an argument, as naturally as it came to him to argue. She knew it, too. A bit of commotion at the other end of the barn caught his attention, causing his gaze to fall in that direction. It was nothing, merely a breeze moving around a few lightweight items that hung on a few hooks at the other end. As his gaze fell back to her though, a rather unreadable expression fell over his own heavily scarred features. It had always scared him when people knew more about him than they should have, but she was entitled to it, knowing him for as long as she did. But, truth be known, it had always made him feel just as afraid and vulnerable, knowing all that she knew. He'd never been easy to let himself trust someone, because it seemed, every time he did, it typically ended up this way. He'd go off just to stay away from such confusing thoughts, and come back to find he'd been forgotten just as much as the next person. And thus, he felt no point in getting to know someone anymore than he needed too. It never ended well for him.
[OOC;; Done, but it still sucks lol.
